Wouldn't you be looking down too if you felt you had to lose 20 kg? Alright, so maybe Shindong of Super Junior's decision to really lose the 20 kg that he had lost and regained in the past was actually to "show everyone a new look" instead of saving the environment - or is he doing that too?!
Shindong, Jo Kwon from 2AM, Kim Hyungjoon from SS501 and Brian are the four leading the way in the new environment variety show Find It! Green Gold, a show set to air on September 14, 2009 about ways to protect the environment and associated conservation programs. Seeing as how the program has a good cause, Shindong seems to have picked up on some of the 'underlying' messages presented by the program when it comes to weight loss.
Shindong himself noted that "the first theme in the program is water and I heard that the most useful way to lose weight is to drink plenty of water. The second theme in the program are bicycles. Riding a bike can make you lose weight - isn’t it the best exercise? It appears that this variety show is a program tailored for me to lose weight."

Maybe what he says is closer to the truth than he might even suspect. With the Korean pop music industry brimming with incredibly fit and attractive idols, it's no wonder that Shindong experiences a bit of the pressure to 'shape up', despite all his talent and charisma.
No matter what Shindong's reasons really are for losing weight, considerable support should be shown for him as he is taking the initiative to do good for himself and the world around us! Good on him for making changes for the better. Fighting!
